They wanted the site to be clean, colorful, show off the achievements are reach of their authors, and have a little fun. The fun comes from Mary Evan’s own collection of vintage Authors games, which are displayed in dramatic “frontispieces” that pop up to introduce pages. Although pop-ups that cannot be dismissed usually part of a user-friendly UI, it is precisely the required pause that the client requested. She wants the visitor to slow down and view these lovely artifacts of olden days.
